Dr. Talal Munasifi has been listed in Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors List since 1997 and featured in both the 1997 and 1998 issues. It is no wonder that he is so well respected by his colleagues; his list of credentials and accomplishments in the field of plastic surgery are remarkable. Chief of Plastic Surgery and President of the Medical Staff at Virginia Hospital Center Arlington, Arlington, Virginia, Dr. Munasifi has amassed an impressive list of famous local and foreign patients who have entrusted him with their surgical needs.

A graduate of the University of Baghdad School of Medicine, Dr. Munasifi served as Surgical House Officer at Khalidy Hospital in Beirut prior to completing his Straight Surgical Internship at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. He served his Surgical Residency at the University of Miami, Miami, Florida before being named Chief Resident in Surgery. In 1980 he completed his Residency in Plastic Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. where he served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery until 1981. In 1983, Dr. Munasifi was named Chief of Plastic Surgery at AMI Doctors Hospital in Lanham, Maryland and concurrently served as Plastic Surgery Consultant at Loudon Memorial Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia.

A highly respected lecturer, Dr. Munasifi has spoken before prestigious organizations including the National Science Foundation and the Pentagon Health Series as well as overseas lectures and surgical demonstrations. He has also been interviewed in worldwide media including interviews on Dubai, Finish and Kuwait television and featured in Argentinean Magazine.

Dr. Munasifi is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds memberships in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Arlington County Medical Society, Medical Society of Virginia, National Capitol Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Munasifi holds an E.C.F.M.G. Certificate and is certified by the Florida and Georgia State Medical Boards. He is also Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, D.C.

Dr. Munasifi’s approach has always been to give patients a natural look, listen to what they say and give them what they want within reason.
