BodyTite: Minimally Invasive Skin Tightening

Advanced Plastic Surgery Center

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons located in DC area, Arlington, VA

What is BodyTite?

BodyTite utilizes advanced RF technology to deliver controlled heat to the underlying fat and skin tissues. This process not only melts fat but also stimulates collagen production, resulting in firmer, more contoured skin.

How Does It Work?

Radiofrequency Energy: A specialized handpiece delivers RF energy beneath the skin. The heat generated by the RF energy melts fat cells and causes the skin and connective tissues to contract.
Fat Reduction: The melted fat is either naturally absorbed by the body or removed through a small cannula via liposuction.
Skin Tightening: The RF energy promotes collagen production, which helps to tighten the skin and improve its elasticity over time.

Minimally Invasive: BodyTite requires only small incisions, reducing the risk of scarring and minimizing recovery time.
Reduced Downtime: Patients typically experience a shorter recovery period compared to traditional liposuction or body lift procedures.
Simultaneous Fat Reduction and Skin Tightening: Unlike traditional liposuction, which primarily removes fat, BodyTite also tightens the skin, providing a smoother and more contoured appearance.
Precision: The procedure allows for precise targeting of specific areas, making it ideal for contouring various parts of the body.

Anesthesia: Local anesthesia or light sedation is typically used.
Duration: The procedure usually takes between 1 to 3 hours, depending on the areas being treated.
Recovery: Patients may experience swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort for a few days. Most can return to normal activities within a week.
