About Buccal Fat Pad Reduction
Buccal fat pad reduction is a surgical procedure to enhance the contour of the cheek in patients with full or “chubby” appearance. Removal of the buccal fat pad can create a more angular or chiseled look.
What to Expect
During your complimentary consultation Dr. Munasifi or Dr. Economides will review your medical history and examine you to determine if buccal fat pad reduction is suitable for you. The procedure may be performed under local anesthesia and lasts roughly 30-45 minutes. Incisions are made on the inside of the mouth and are hidden from view. Sutures are absorbable and do not have to be removed.
